Motor sports in the U.S. have a rock solid following of 10 million television viewers and sold out crowds in race tracks that seat 500,000 people. With Nascar's increasing popularity many Americans ignore international motor sports like Formula One and instead stick with local motor sports. Now we introduce to you an international motor sport that has been gaining popularity after becoming the first U.S. sanctioned Formula Drifting Racing Series. What exactly is drifitng? Drifting is when the rear slip angle of a car is greater than its front slip angle, and its front wheels are pointed in the opposite direction to the turn (e.g. car is turning left, wheels are pointed right), and the driver is controlling these factors, then the car is drifting.
