T.I. ft. Rihanna - "Live Your Life"

T.I. ft. Rihanna -

Ever since his conviction on felony charges earlier this year, I'd have to tip my hat to T.I. for handling his pending jail sentence with such class, bouncing back by pushing to the of his career - having #1 & #2 albums on Billboard - and turning it all positive by encouraging youngster to get out and vote (since for a while it was thought he had lost that privilege which was nullified by a loophole in the Georgia system).

This is one of the hottest collaborations in a while, with two of the top artists in their respective industries - T.I. in the hip hop game and Rihanna in pop. "Live Your Life" follows their great live performance at the VMA's this year with a well done music video.

Lala - The Next iTunes?

Lala - The Next iTunes? Credit: Lala.com

A site where you can buy music online. Let's see... We have Rhapsody. We have iTunes. We have Zune Marketplace. We have Amazon. We have Wal-Mart. We have Napster. And now Lala?

But don't worry this one is different. According to TechCrunch.com:

Fortunately Lala’s real potential stems from its integrated media player and your web library (which looks a lot like iTunes, but in the cloud). At the top of the screen is a music player that will continue playing whatever song you listen to, no matter where you navigate on the site. And you’ll have lots of content to play: users will be able to play any song on the site’s massive catalog in its entirety exactly one time free of charge.

"Users will be able to play any song on the site’s massive catalog in its entirety exactly one time free of charge." With 6 million songs, it's like browsing through the iTunes Music Store, and previewing a song, but instead of previewing for like 20-seconds, you get the full song.

I've been listening to Lala.com for a couple hours and even though I highly doubt I'll ever buy music from it, it's a nice way to explore new music on-demand.

Beyonce - "Single Ladies"

Beyonce -

Here's Beyonce's latest single for "Single Ladies" off her upcoming album I Am. Yah sure it's a whatevers song and uses that same damn clapping beat that she uses all the time. But I gotta admit the video is pretty cool and she looks great (maybe she hired the same trainer as Britney). But the dancing and camera work and transitions are pretty creative (hopefully it's original, not like her stealing "If I Were A Boy" from a 21-year old San Diego singer).

And what the heck is up with her hand?

Britney Spears -

Britney Spears tries to regain her former-sex appeal in her latest video for "Womanizer" off her upcoming album Circus, which drops December 2 (which happens to be her birthday). She does a bit of role playing but the surprising clips are the ones of her in the sauna room flaunting her naked new post-two babies body.

Ciara ft. T-Pain - "Go Girl"

Ciara ft. T-Pain - There seems to be a slight trend with really weird videos coming from R&B's top singer (i.e. Rihanna's "Disturbia") but it's great to see them push the creative envelope when it comes to music videos. Ciara's "Go Girl" has her in  some futuristic outfits, and that scene on the bike at 2:36 got a chuckle out of me. But as always, she's one of the few R&B singers that actually can dance well in her vids.
