Young Artists for Haiti - "Wavin' Flag"

Young Artists for Haiti -

With earthquakes happening across the globe, the relief efforts are still going strong for those in Haiti. The Young Artists for Haiti record a music video for "Wavin' Flag" - a remake of K'naan's anthem in a "We Are The World" style video.

There are some familiar faces and voices - Nelly Furtado, Avril Lavigne, Kardinal Offishall, Drake, Justin Bieber - and the rest are people you've probably never seen nor heard of before because they're all Canadian artists. Even thought the goal of the video is the focus on Haiti, this opened my eyes to the talent from our neighbors up North (I definitely YouTubed some of the artists on here).

Thanks to commenter kattyst who identified all the artists in order:

Furtado, Sam Roberts, Avril Lavigne, Pierre Bouvier, Tyler Connolly, Kardinal Offishall, Jully Black, LIGHTS, Deryck Whibley, Serena Ryder, Jacob Hoggard,Emily Haines, Hawksley Workman, Drake,Chin Injeti, Ima,Pierre Lapointe, Elisapie Isaac, Esthero, Corb Lund, Fefe Dobson, Nikki Yanofsky, Matt Mays, Justin Nozuka, and Justin Bieber.

Lady Gaga ft. Beyonce - "Telephone"

Lady Gaga ft. Beyonce -

Two of pop music's biggest names collab for Lady Gaga's mini-movie (i.e. MJ "Thriller") for her latest single "Telephone" featuring Beyonce.

It features everything from butch chicks kissing to leather-laced prison fights and skimpy bikini-wearing prisoners. This movie has many Kill Bill/Grindhouse elements as she pays homage to Mr. Tarentino (the Pussywagon makes a cameo appearance).

Leave it to Gaga to set the creative bar for today's music artists.

We Are The World 3.0 As we all have probably seen the remake that should have never been remade, "We Are The World" for Haiti, before you can figure out who all the artists were, the cast of SNL have gone and made "We Are The World 3".

Black Eyed Peas - "Imma Be" & "Rock That Body"

Tuesday, Feb 23, 2010
Black Eyed Peas - The BEP are on every single awards show and on every single damn radio station (seems like every track they release is a certified club banger). Here's a futuristic look of two of their latest singles "Imma Be" and "Rock That Body" combined into one video, and Fergie owning the camera like always.

Kanye West - "Coldest Winter"

Kanye West -

For all the drama Kanye has endured (yes, 90% of it self-inflicted), he finds time to release the next music video off his "808s and Heartbreak" album from last year. Even though he seems to be missing from the video (like he's been missing from all media since Taylor-gate at the MTV Music Awards 'cept for the "We Are The Wolrd" remake).

This is one of the deepest and darkest and most personal from his album and it's quite interesting timing for him to release this track as I'm sure he's in a pretty lonesome, self-discovery state of mind himself right now. He should probably put that album and 2009 all behind him and focus on his next album. Best of luck my man.
